Queensland-based Talvor has added another California-built caravan to its ever-expanding range of RVs, with the release of the 16ft 4in (4.97m), three-berth, 480A slide-out model.
Currently priced from $55,990 tow-away, the new Talvor 480A offers plenty of bang for your buck as well as a slightly different interior layout to most Aussie caravans. Instead of the usual walk-around double bed up front, there's a relatively spacious but window-less ensuite, complete with separate shower, toilet and 2.5kg washing machine.
A slide-out lounge and a compact kitchen take up the middle section, while a large club lounge occupies the rear of the compact, 4.87m long interior.
There are no permanent beds; instead the rear and slide-out lounges finished in ‘ultra leather’ convert to double and single beds respectively.
A long list of standard features include an electric awning, 60 watt solar panel, 186 litre fridge/freezer, 147 litre fresh water tank, LED lighting, external shower, multi-media system with LED TV/DVD and Winegard antenna, and reverse-cycle air-conditioner.
The only options available are an additional 100Ah battery, portable 2.8kW generator and upgrade from two 4.5kg gas bottles to bigger 9kg units.
The tandem axle 480A caravan features aluminium frame, sandwich panel construction with gel coat finish, hot dipped galvanised chassis, leaf spring suspension and 10in electric brakes, and weighs in with a 1900kg Tare, 2250kg ATM and 122kg (unladen) ball mass.
With its 1.72m long slide-out, the 480A is the third slide-out model from Talvor, following the Hayman four-berth motorhome which has a 4.0m long slide-out and flagship, three berth 750D caravan with 3.9m slide.
The new model is on display at Talvor's Brisbane RV Superstore in Northgate, Brisbane.
