Not long after introducing its first hard floor camper onto the market Queensland’s Desert Edge Trailers has added another off-road model to its range of soft-floor campers.
The Discovery Deluxe features an unpainted marine grade aluminium trailer body and checker plate side pockets, and according to Desert Edge factory manager Stuart Morgan is built to withstand the roughest off-road adventure.
"With the use of unique stainless steel hinges, fixtures and a full length hot dipped galvanised chassis to provide the greatest resistance against rust and corrosion, the Discovery Deluxe is both strong and practical," Morgan said.
The rear folding 9ft canvas tent is made from Oztrail's Stat-Proof 600+ canvas, a waterproof material similar to 12oz canvas.
Other standard features include a queen size mattress, gas cook top, mixer tap and stainless steel kitchen sink. A kitchen extension can
be added for extra bench space.
There’s also a 330 litre wing box that can house an 80 litre fridge, lockable checker plate aluminium storage compartments for extra gear, spare wheel and travel cover. Options include a stone guard, off-road coupling and boat rack.
Desert Edge trailers are built by the same company behind Quintrex, Stacer and Savage aluminium boats, and offer a a two year limited factory warranty on all camper trailers sold.
The Discovery Deluxe is available from a nationwide network of dealers, with a starting price of $13,990. See the Desert Edge website for further details.
