Avida RV has added a seventh model to its Australian-built motorhome line-up. Called the Torquay, the luxury B-class model is built exclusively on the Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis and features a big slide-out on the offside to provide more interior space.
The four-berth layout includes a club lounge and well-equipped kitchenette towards the front, with a walk-around, east-west queen bed facing an electric lift TV and full-length mirrored wardrobe at the rear, along with a separate shower and toilet.
Befitting its $191,990 starting price, the Torquay is fitted with leather upholstery and high gloss apartment style furniture along with other upmarket touches like a wine rack, diesel furnace heater and reverse-cycle air-conditioning.
Other standard features include an external entertainment unit, electric entry step and hot/cold outside shower. The Torquay also comes with fresh, grey and black water tanks, and a sophisticated 12V/240V power set-up including 150W inverter.
The options list extends to such niceties as an in-built generator, satellite TV receiver, electric awning, washing machine and wine cooler.
The 8.05m long motorhome has a Gross Vehicle Mass of 5000kg, so you’ll need a Light Rigid truck licence to drive it.
