Almost everyone's a winner!

If you can't afford a new RV, there's a good chance you can win one, with more and more caravans and motorhomes being given away

Barely a month goes by without some lucky punter winning a new caravan or motorhome...

More recently, we saw Newcastle couple Don and Denise Way drive away with a brand new, British-built Bailey Unicorn Valencia caravan, valued at $57,500.

Now Carolyn and David Blackeby from South Australia have been thrown the keys to a multi-purpose Avida Escape motorhome, valued at over $100,000. It's the second Escape given away by Avida, formerly known as Winnebago.

Chosen from tens of thousands of entries in the Channel 9 Today Show competition, the Adelaide couple and their children, Alexandra 7, Kobe, 5 and Brianna aged 5 months, are looking forward to a bit more luxury on the road than they normally enjoy with their well-used camper trailer.

"The fact that the Escape is fully equipped with a proper kitchen and bathroom with a hot shower and toilet will make it so much easier to get away," said Carolyn.

The Fiat-based Escape campervan manages to squeeze in four berths thanks to an electric roll down bed which, at the push of a button, moves down from the ceiling to join the two standard single beds. While the single beds fold up to the wall to create extra space for transporting items such as bicycles or motorbikes.

The family intend using their new campervan most weekends and already are looking forward to a bit trip across the Nullarbor to Perth to visit relatives.

Meanwhile, Marinus Beimers of Mount Evelyn in Victoria was recently given the keys to a Royal Flair Piazza caravan he won in another TV show competition.

The prize, valued at over $75,000, included 12 months CIL Insurance, and was officially handed over at Royal Flair’s Campbellfield factory by Royal Flair boss Bill Deralas and Caravan, RV & Accommodation Industry of Australia CEO Stuart Lamont.

Royal Flair, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013, was one of the first manufacturers to offer the unique fold-out Sky-Deck balcony as standard on one of its models. The 19ft fibreglass van comes fully loaded with a range of features including an external picnic table, LCD TV and DVD player, air conditioning and a CD/MP3 player.
