Some of Victoria’s biggest industry identities have been recognised at this year’s Caravan Industry Association Victoria (CIA VIC) Hall of Fame Industry Awards and Gala.
A crowd of 550 people gathered at the Melbourne Crown Palladium this month for the annual event, which was sponsored by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and AL-KO International and recognises the achievements of CIA VIC members.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees included the influential caravan book writer Keith Winser, former Viscount Caravans dealer, Mike Collins, former CIA VIC president Tony Briant, and former CIA VIC executive officer Joan Tullo.
Goldstream RV's service manager Ryan Johannsson won the George Pantazopoulos Young Achiever Award while this year’s Service to Industry Award went to recently retired AL-KO managing director Sven Mannfolk.
Award RV Superstore.picked up the Excellence in Dealer/Retailer of the Year Award; Advantage Caravan Repairs.won the Excellence in Service & Repair Award and the Excellence in Manufacturing Award was shared by AL-KO International and New Age Caravans.
Also acknowledged on the night was Caravan World magazine’s managing editor, Max Taylor, who received the Media Award in Recognition for “outstanding commitment and promotion to the caravan industry”.
