Al-Ko lights the way
Leading supplier bolsters towing accessories range
Al-Ko continues to add to its impressive range of RV accessories in Australia, introducing new LED caravan and trailer lights suitable for OEM and aftermarket applications.
The locally-sourced lights are designed to suit a range of caravans, trailers, and horse floats, with tough polycarbonate construction for the lens and body and a five year warranty.
The LED lights are available either "hard wired" or feature a water resistant "plug and go" wiring set up, for ease of fitment. The trailer lamps also feature a submersible design for added protection for trailers driven through water or exposed to excess moisture.
Available in various designs, the ADR-approved lights are either multi-volt (10-30volt range) or standard 12 volt. Side marker lights and reflectors are also available.
Al-Ko also recently introduced two other new products to make towing easier, an off-road coupling and universal coupling lock.
The Al-Ko Off Road Coupling is available in three models: a two tonne, 3.5 tonne fixed, and two tonne override, with all models featuring 360 degree head articulation, positive towball latching system, self lubricating head pivot bushes and a high impact ABS polycarbonate hand grip.
The new Universal Coupling Lock, designed to deter thieves when your towed vehicle is unattached is, according to Al-Ko, "an easy to use, safe and secure coupling lock that suits nearly all braked and unbraked couplings on the market."
Made from cast aluminium, the unit doesn’t require an additional padlock as the locking mechansim is built into the device for added safety.
Al-Ko also plans to introduce next year the AMS Mammut, a light weight caravan manouevring system driven by two separate motor units.
According to the company, the AMS Mammut “has the power to move your caravan effortlessly over inclines, kerbs and rough terrain”.
Al-Ko claims the Mammut will offer more ground clearance than similar competitors’ products; is water resistant and is controlled by a simple hand held, joystick operated remote control unit.
The AMS Mammut will be able to tackle inclines up to 28 degrees and obstacles 40mm in height.
