AFN first-aid manual
The Australian Fishing Network (AFN) has released the 3rd edition of its 106-page First Aid Emergency HandbookWritten by Ella Tyler, the author and editor of 18 first-aid books, it is aimed squarely at untrained people faced with a medical emergency.
As first-aid manuals go, it's a beauty - the only book ever to win an Australian Design Award. It's ring-bound with easy-to-use index tabs for 28 types of emergencies, and has lots of colour photos and step-by-step instructions. It also has a magnetic strip so it can be kept handy on a refrigerator or metal cabinet.
It retails for $29.99 and is available at many fishing tackle shops, outdoor shops and through the AFN website, www.afn.com.au
