The first new European-built Adria off the ranks is an updated version of the Altea 432 PX, a 6.0m long, single axle van with 1300kg ATM that is currently the smallest in Adria’s Australian line-up of caravans.
Due in March, the 2011 model 432 PX features a new, larger 97-litre fridge, full size screen door, Al-Ko AKS 3004 stabiliser coupling, and electric and gas hot water.
While the four-berth, shower/toilet layout remains unchanged, the interior gets a freshen up with new dark-toned natural woodgrain fittings and contrasting white walls.
Pricing of the new model will remain the same, at $36,790 tow-away.
R.V Asia Pacific also plans to introduce a new, entry-level Adria van in late April. The compact, 5.8m long Altea 390 DS (the model number refer to the van’s internal length of 3.9 metres) features a shower and toilet, and sleeping for up to four with conversion of the lounge/dinette area to another bed.
R.V. Asia Pacific General Manager, Chris Swann, said it will have a sub-$30,000 pricetag and is targeting traditional buyers of pop-top caravans looking for something a bit lighter to tow.
"This will give (these buyers) a full-size van that’s not too big... it will be probably around 1100kg ATM," he said.
Like all Adria vans sold in Australia, the 390 DS will be built in Slovenia but designed specifically for Australian conditions.
The new model will be displayed at the NSW Caravan, Camping, RV & Holiday Supershow at Rosehill Gardens from April 30-May 8.
A Fiat Ducato-based Adria Twin SP motorhome is set to join it at the Sydney show, as the importer plans to introduce Adria motorhomes to the local line-up possibly later this year.
