3 Dog Camping

The Top Dog rooftop tent from 3 Dog Camping is an ideal solution for overnighting while on the road.

The Top Dog is secured to the roof during transit and is easily assembled by one person in minutes.

Three bows unfold, concertina-style, to present a tent on top of your vehicle. For comfort there’s a 5ft queen bed and awning to the passenger side.

For extended stays or added weather protection and privacy, a full annexe wall can be easily touch-taped or zipped onto all three sides.

The walls have a full-size meshed window on the outer side, and a meshed doorway on both front and rear walls for effective ventilation.

To prevent rain from entering the sleeping area, the main side window features an awning-style cover held in position via two poles attached to the floor. The Top Dog ladder is stored within the unit to prevent theft and has a timber base to stop it sinking into wet ground.

The complete setup is very compact and lightweight and components can be either stored in the folded unit while travelling or inside the vehicle.

Top Dog rooftop tents are made in Byron Bay, NSW, and prices range from $2353 to $3327 (Dec 2004). For more information contact 3 Dog Camping, 1300 300 394 or visit www.3dogcamping.com
