$21 farm stay tops best caravan site list
Highest-rated Australian caravan sites announced by popular private-property booking platformYou don't have to drop a bomb to enjoy a relaxing caravan stay, judging by the latest 'top sites' list announced by popular private-property campsite booking platform Hipcamp.
Offering spacious sites from as little as $21 a night, Yabba Creek Farm near the township of Invil, 160km north of Brisbane, is one of 15 finalists in Hipcamp's Best Caravan Spots in Australia 2026 awards.
'Hidden gem'
Described as a 'hidden gem', the Yabba Creek Farm sits on a 37 acre property and offers seven RV site options; all not far from the picturesque Yabba Creek and with the majestic Mount Grainger as a backdrop.
There are no on-site showers or power hookups, but toilets are available and campfires and dogs allowed. Adding to the Yabba Creek Farm's appeal to caravanners is the free use of kayaks and spacious grassy sites that cater to larger gatherings.
Queensland camp stays are well represented in the top-15 Best Caravan Spots list for 2026, followed by NSW, Victoria and Tasmanian properties. Most of the 'top 15' winners offer sites for under $40 a night, with the most expensive Our Kindred Acres in NSW (from $61) and Green Falls Escape in Victoria (from $97).

The road ahead
Hipcamp's annual 'best' lists recognise some of the most popular sites around Australia in a number of categories, based on the past year of booking, rating and review data.
With thousands of sites listed, Hipcamp says its bookings nationally are up 21.7% YoY in August.
