2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards start here

Inaugural Innovation Awards recognize leading products and services in the Australian RV industryedi211002 caravanawards banner

It's been an up and down year for the Australian RV industry, as manufacturers and suppliers deal with surging demand for caravans and motorhomes while facing ongoing headwinds during the pandemic.

On the consumer side, border closures and lockdowns have made getting away on a much-needed RV holiday a lot more difficult than usual.

However, while many have been forced into the slow lane, one thing that hasn't changed is the ability of the industry to continue to evolve and innovate.

It's for this reason that Australia's leading RV media website is launching the inaugural caravancampingales Innovation Awards.

Australian companies are leading the way in off-grid RV travel

Designed to recognize and reward advancements in the areas of technology, design, quality and safety throughout the Australian RV industry, the annual caravancampingsales Innovation Awards are founded on the premise that advances which improve or enhance the RV industry are worth recognising and celebrating.

The 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards will also reward creativity and endeavor that result in new products, systems or services that deliver greater connectivity, accessibility and sustainability for the consumer.

"The caravancampingsales Innovation Awards are not, however, necessarily aimed at the company or brand with the most expensive, or impressive product or concept," caravancampingsales editor Chris Fincham explained.

"We will be considering all aspects of innovation when judging, and any of the category Awards could go to a simple idea that broadly advances the RV industry."

Some of the most innovative RV designs originate in Australia

The virtual Innovation Awards will be judged by an expert panel, with a trophy awarded to the winner in each of four categories: Best New RV, Best New Product/Accessory, Best New Technology, and Best New Safety Feature.

To be in running for a 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards trophy, the product or service must have been launched and available to Australian consumers after Sept 1, 2020. While it doesn't necessarily have to be designed or built, or have originated in Australia, all contenders must be featured in some way on the caravancampingsales website.

Buyers have plenty of choice when it comes to clever new Aussie-built RVs

The judging panel for the 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards comprises some of Australia’s most experienced RV industry journalists, including RV Editor, Chris Fincham and senior journalist Rod Chapman from carsales' in-house editorial team.

Also on the judging panel are regular contributors Michael Browning and Phillip Lord; both of whom are industry veterans with a combined 70 years' experience in the motoring and RV industries.

Over coming weeks we will announce the finalists for each category, and explain why each finalist is in the running for an Innovation Awards trophy.

The announcement of the winners of the 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards is scheduled for December 8. Stay tuned!
