Make road trip planning easier in 2012 with free, updated guides from Australia’s leading holiday park chains

Planning a road trip in 2012 which includes a bunch of caravan park stop-overs? Help is at hand with the latest guides now available from Australia’s biggest holiday park chains.

For the mobile savvy, BIG4 Holiday Parks has released its 2012 Holiday Guide with handy Quick Response (QR) codes for each of the 180 Australia-wide parks listed.

Claimed as a first in the caravan industry, each of the BIG4 parks in the guide has its own QR code which, when scanned with a smartphone loaded with a free QR reader available from the app store, takes the user to the park’s homepage on a mobile compatible website.

For those without the latest smartphone, the 2012 BIG4 Holiday Guide still lists all you need to know about BIG4- affiliated parks, with a brief synopsis of each park, along with features, accommodation, facilities, location and contact details. It also includes whether the park is one of 34 BIG4 parks that accept dogs.

The Guide, which has also been updated with six new member parks, is available free via the BIG4 website, calling 1300 738 044 or at any BIG4 Park.

Australia’s biggest caravan park chain, Top Tourist Parks, has also released a new 2012 Guide listing up-to-date information on its 212 member parks spread throughout Australia. For a copy of the free guide, visit the Top Tourist website or pick one up at a Top Tourist park near you.

Oz Parks, which oversees 37 caravan parks in Australia, has also put out a free guide for 2012. It’s available from all member parks or by contacting head office on (02) 6025 0209.

The guides can save you money as well as time, particularly if you take out a membership from one of the chains which entitles various savings including discounted fees at member parks.
